Abstract: Yi Peixia’s Emperor Huizong of Song is a western concept of Chinese stories for Western readers to listen to the book. Compared with the related works in our country, there are many similarities, such as the emphasis on distinguishing historical materials and the awareness of problems.But there are more differences, for example, most Chinese scholars have inherited the tradition of “taking history as a mirror” and she opposed “reflecting on history”. Chinese scholars tend to focus on looking at history from the perspective of the people, she looked at the times from Huizong’s perspective and more sympathy was expressed for Huizong; Huizong, as an emperor, has always had a negative image in our country, but she sought to correct it. These differences are rooted in the differences in the perspectives of Chinese and Western scholars. It is very difficult to seek uniformity, but only to seek common ground while reserving differences, there is no need to “integrate”.
