Abstract: Based on historical literature records,a re-examination of Dong Zhongshus life has been conducted,and different conclusions have been drawn from previous perspectives.Dong Zhongshu was born approximately in the seventh year of Emperor Gaozu of Han(200 BC)and passed away in the third year of the Yuanding reign of Emperor Wu of Han(114 BC);Dong Zhongshu participated in the strategy of the first year of the Jianyuan era,but the “Three Strategies for Heaven and Man” was not a strategy article of the Jianyuan era,but a national policy discussion between Dong Zhongshu and Emperor Wu of Han in the first year of the Yuanguang era;Dong Zhongshu served as the Prime Minister of Jiangdu twice,the first from the Jianyuan Policy to the third year of Jianyuan(138 BC),and the second from the second year of Yuanguang(132 BC)to the third year of Yuanshuo(126 BC);Dong Zhongshu transferred to the position of Minister of Jiaoxi in the third year of Yuanshuo(126 BC).
