Abstract: Following the approach of studying cultural ethics initiated by first generation and responding to ethical turn advocated by second generation,Wellmer interprets postmodern culture by virtue of ethics,which could cause an effect of rewriting postmodern culture in a broad sense.He believes that liberalized games and diversified styles in this culture not only highlight conception of freedom and democracy,but also cultivate the peoples political consciousness such as freedom and democracy;to a certain extent,this is a portray about reciprocal relationship between culture,art and life.On the whole,Wellmers study on postmodern cultural ethic is not only to advocate a post-metaphysical modernity,but also to construct a free and democratic ethical life,which would respect everybody equally and stimulate their ethical potential effectively.
