摘要/Abstract

摘要： 莫言的作品在海外的流行离不开葛浩文的英译。葛浩文是莫言小说唯一的英译者，他的译本提升了莫言在海外的文学声望和文学地位。然而笔者在仔细阅读葛浩文的译本之后，发现确有一些翻译不恰当之处。现以《生死疲劳》葛氏译本为例，分析葛浩文在英译莫言小说时所出现的误译现象，探究其误译根源，也为翻译界敲响警钟，进而探讨中国文化的译介策略。

Abstract: Mo Yan’s works become the best seller overseas depending on Howard Goldblatt’s translated versions.As the Mo Yan’s only translator for English speaking countries，Howard Goldblatt’s years of perseverance on translating and publishing Mo Yan’s works have built the overseas market for Chinese literature and introduced the Chinese contemporary novels to the whole world.The author found some improper and inaccurate translations after a perusal of Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out.In this paper，the author selected some mistranslation samples from Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out and tried to explore the source.Such analysis is not only aimed at warning the Chinese translation academy，but also focused on the discussion about Chinese cultural translation strategies.
