Abstract: During “the 13th Five Year Plan” period,Chinas social security has made historic progress in social assistance,social insurance,social welfare and preferential care policies.The social security system has been gradually improved,the coverage has been continuously expanded,the security level has been steadily improved,and the management service has become increasingly standardized.It has become the largest social security system in the world,and has effectively enhanced the peoples sense of acquisition,happiness and security.During the period of “the 14th Five Year Plan”,facing the new situation and new challenges,Chinas social security needs to deepen the reform in the orientation of social security policy,the screening of security objects,and the division of social security levels,so as to continuously improve the quality of social security construction and meet the higher needs of the people.
