Historical Evolution and Implications of Professionalization of American Adult Educators

Abstract: Adult education in the United States has high level of professionalization,and the professionalization of adult educators has a relatively long history.This paper reveals the historical development of American adult educators' professionalization based on theoretical researches,professionals training,professional organizations,and assurance system,and discusses the implications of it for professionalizing adult educators in China.
