Abstract: Mr.Yu Genyuans view of language planning is mainly reflected in three aspects:the view of language standardization,the view of diversity of language subjects and the view of language service.In terms of language planning research,Professor Yu has put forward many meaningful propositions as follows:the reference item of language norms is the communicative value;the effectiveness of testing norms is the impact on language life;the predictability of language should be paid attention to when formulating language norms;norm is service,etc.Nowadays,these views still have theoretical significance and practical value.
