Abstract: Cognitive sociolinguistics is a new discipline,so there are few theoretical research achievements of cognitive sociolinguistics in China.According to the current situation of cognitive sociolinguistics in foreign countries,we should collect as much information as possible about the theoretical research of cognitive sociolinguistics in foreign countries.This paper summarizes the three stages of the development of cognitive sociolinguistics,and makes an analysis and introduction through the development and research scope of cognitive sociolinguistics,which can add some viewpoints and thoughts for the domestic cognitive sociolinguistics in research and application.
