Abstract: Mou Zongsan constructed his theoretical system of historical philosophy through the “New Three Books of Foreign Kings”,which was completed through the construction of forty important concepts in three levels and eighteen groups.Firstly, there are two possible concepts related to “philosophy of history”,aimed at solving the problem of the establishment of “philosophy of history”.Secondly, there are three layers and eleven sets of concepts related to the “state”,with the aim of solving the problem of the development of Chinese cultural life. Finally,it is about the three layers and five groups of concepts of “Great Harmony”,aimed at solving the problem of the possibility of “world history” and the fate of human history.Unlike studies that typically take the perspective of “content”,studying Mou Zongsans historical philosophy from the perspective of “conceptual form” not only reflects the content of his historical philosophy, but also reflects the role of conceptual construction in the construction of philosophical theories.

Key words: Mou Zongsan, philosophy of history, theoretical system, conceptual construction
