Abstract: After calculating the amount of pension settlement and allocation under the implementnent of the central adjustment fund system in all provinces and municipalities from 2018 to 2030, and after factor analysis and cluster analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn: to a large extent, the local economic foundation determines the overall performance of the regional pension system. Due to the influence of the local economic foundation, the overall operation of the regional pension fund will not be improved significantly after the implementation of the central pension fund system. However, the implementation of the central pension system narrow the differences in the operation of the regional pension system. Accordingly, some suggestions are put forward, including the establishment of a differentiated basic pension central allocation system, which can further narrow the differences in pension development among regions.
