Abstract: Lu Jiuyuan was an outstanding thinker in ancient China, the consistency of the doer and educator. From his childhood he had great ambition, and he paid great attention to the reality of life. He was concerned about peoples livelihood and diligent in administration. He lectured in Xiangshan Jingshe and became a model of private academies. It is not true to describe Lu Jiuyuan as “subjective idealism”. The dispute between Zhu and Lu is the reflection of Lu Jiuyuan’s academic competitiveness, and it is also an indelible proof of his academic influence.
