Abstract: COVID-19 not only poses a great threat to peoples lives and health,but also tests the governance capacity of the Party and the government and the relationship between the Party and the masses.The CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as its core has always put the people and their lives first,given top priority to their safety and health,and led the people to achieve major results in the fight against COVID-19.Adhering to the people first and life first is the decisive factor and value support for the success of anti epidemic;the peoples supreme position is embodied in the peoples historical view that affirms the people are the creators of history,the peoples purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly,and the people-centered development view;the supremacy of the people is the valuable historical experience of the CPCs Centennial struggle and the foundation of the CPCs Centennial achievements;from the perspective of ethics,the people first position is a fundamental ethical value and ethical spirit,which is embodied in the peoples ethics of Marxism and peoples ethics with Chinese characteristics;the supremacy of life is the concentrated embodiment and requirement of the supremacy of the people,which expands the new connotation of socialist moral values.
