An Empirical Analysis of the Relationship betweenIndustrial Agglomeration and Urbanization --Based on the Perspective of Differences between

Abstract: The studies both at home and abroad found that,industrial agglomeration degree has a lot to do with the urbanization level.This article first summarizes the inner link of the industrial agglomeration and urbanization,and then reviews the literature of the interactive development of industrial agglomeration and urbanization,using the panel data model,to make an empirical analysis on the relationship between industrial agglomeration and urbanization of six provinces and cities in eastern region and 5 provinces and cities in central and western regions,and concludes that there is an obvious correlation between industrial agglomeration and urbanization,presenting a significant periodic differences.The eastern region is in the middle and late stage of urbanization,and the third industrial agglomeration on the pulling effect on the urbanization is more than the second industrial agglomeration.The central and western regions are in the middle stage of urbanization,and the second industrial agglomeration is the main driving force of urbanization.Each region should adjust measures to local conditions,develop comparative advantage,foster industrial clusters with local characteristics,and improve the level of regional urbanization.
