Measurement of the Coupling Relationship Between Scientific and Technological Innovation and Industrial Development at the Provincial Level in China

Abstract: There is of great significance to judge the coupling relationship between scientific and technological innovation and industrial development.In this article,the measurement method of system coupling degree is improved,and the coupling relationship between science and technology innovation and industrial development at the regional level in China from 2010 to 2017 is measured.The results show that there are still large regional differences in Chinas scientific and technological innovation and industrial development.In some regions,the input of scientific and technological innovation does not bring corresponding scientific and technological output,nor does the industrial scale and industrial structure bring corresponding industrial benefits;the coupling relationship between science and technology innovation system and industrial development system continuse to improve,some regions have entered the stage of highly coupling and coordinated development,but nearly half of them still have much room for improvement;in some regions,the coupling between regional scientific and technological innovation system and industrial development system is poor,partly due to the low stage of regional economic development,partly due to the “opposite direction”between regional scientific and technological innovation activities and industrial development activities.
