Abstract: Human publishing experienced three historical stages from hard publishing, soft publishing to virtual publishing. In this paper, the concept of virtual publishing will be identified and defined. It is believed that virtual publishing is divided into four stages: the initial stage of acousto-optic electromagnetism, the development stage of computer revolution, the current stage of digital publishing, the future stage of artificial intelligence publishing and brain consciousness publishing. This paper analyzes the new relationship between publishing and reading in the era of virtual publishing by two clues and their interaction. One clue is the continuous innovation of publishing carrier and publishing technology driven by technology. Another clue is the change in the reading scene and behavior of the publishing recipient. The relationship between the two is not unidirectional invariant, but mutual influence and dependence. This paper attempts to present in the era of virtual publishing, from the human reading "posture", the relationship between human and publishing symbols, to discover the relationship between the strange landscape. The exploration and discovery of this landscape will provide an effective path reference for the construction of human cultural and creative industry and wisdom city in the future.
