Abstract: The aging population of Hebei Province is higher than the national average. Its pension service is facing the challenges of funding bottleneck, practical obstacles in the combination of medical care and maintenance, shortage of talents in pension service, and outstanding contradiction between supply and demand of pension service. Based on the challenges Hebei pension service is facing, the paper puts forward five suggestions for the government to develop Hebei pension service: increasing financial subsidies, widening the investment and financing channels, developing the combination of medical maintenance mode for the convenience of the aged to get medical care and medical treatment, strengthening the training of the personnel for the aged service, and establishing the old-age service system based on community home care service.
