The Formation and Practice of “Eclectic” Hermeneutics in the Qing Dynasty —— Taking“Sikuquanshuzongmu·Shijing” as An Example

Abstract: In the period of Kangxi and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, the annotations of “Eclectic”, “reference to ancient books of different meanings” were put forward on the basis of sorting out the ancient Confucian classics literatures. With “Sikuquanshuzongmu · Shijing” as the center, it is found that by the choice of diachronic text, in this period it was formed the prerequisite of eliminating Han and Song studies, but established the text of “Shijing” as the ontology, “harmony” as the forerunner, and “Eclectic” as Interpretation mode, which at the same time maintained full vigilance to the interpretation of the “Shijing” and the literary interpretation of “Shijing” thought.
