Developing Transmutation and Contemporary Revelation of German Schools’Music Education

Abstract: There is a long history and splendid achievements in German music culture, the music education in German schools starts early and there are several times of important transforms in history. In early 19th, German schools’ music education was regarded as important ways and methods to achieve the normal education goal, that is, to educate by music; in the early 20th, German schools’ music education further constructed the scientific system of music courses, to achieve the aim of music by educating; contemporary Germany aims to build up colorful social music life, and as a necessary part, the school music education plays an important role, cognizing the world and self and perfecting the culture and life by music education. An old Chinese saying is that stones form other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one, so from the developing transmutation of German schools’ music education, we can find some inspirations for the reformation ways of our country’s school music education.
