The Development Process,Achievements and Prospects of the Chinese Communist Partys Rural Education in the Past Hundred Years

Abstract: The reform and development of rural education in China have always run through the development context of the Communist Party of China.In the course of one hundred years,the Communist Party of China has always taken “providing satisfactory education for people” to make rural students from “being able to go to school” to “receiving good education” as its starting point and goal.Through unfolding a grand historical narrative,we find rural education has gone through four development stages:exploration period,foundation laying period,adjustment period and optimization period,which have embarked on a path of socialist development with Chinese characteristics and achieved great achievements that have attracted worldwide attention.Compulsory education has been fully universalized,and the average education years of the rural population has increased;the funding mechanism is increasingly sound,and the funding for running a school is increasing year by year;the effect of teaching staff construction is remarkable,and the quality of teacher supply is enhanced;with the continuous improvement of school running conditions,the gap between urban and rural areas has been significantly narrowed.At present,China is in a period of building a new type of industrial-agricultural-urban-rural relationship,fully implementing the rural revitalization strategy,and achieving high-quality development.Looking to the future,the Communist Party of China will give priority to the development of rural education,strengthen the integration of urban and rural education,improve the quality of rural education,promote educational equity and ultimately accelerate the pace of transition from a big country in education to a strong country in education.
