Abstract: Chen Liang is a famous patriotic thinker, writer, educator, historical theorist and strategist in the history of China, and is also the only outstanding thinker in the history of China. He left 40 volumes of essays and 4 volumes of his collection. There are so many studies on Chen Liang’s anti-Jin unity, utilitarian thought, Neo Confucianism, personality and political features, but few on his poems. The reason is affected by the opinion of “Chen Liang can not write poetry all life” and the “Chen Liang set”(Revised)only included four poems of him edited by Deng Guangming. This paper mainly discusses the opinion of “Chen Liang can not write poetry all life” from the achievements of Chen Liang’s poetry, poetry preface for others, poetry creation, and the era of his life. Facts have proved that Chen Liang can not only be a poet, but also have a high achievement.
