Extending One Belt and One Road Initiative to Latin America: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

Abstract: Since One Belt and One Road Initiative has been proposed, Latin American countries have grown more enthusiastic in participating in this mega plan. This article mainly analyses the possibility, opportunities and challenges of extending One Belt and One Road Initiative to Latin America, combining the overall situation of China and Latin America’s economy, politics and diplomacy. As an important International product, the Initiative is meant to extend its connection with Latin America, which is beneficial to both China and Latin American Countries. Yet there are lots of challenges, so One Belt and One Road Initiative to Latin America has to be worked out with patience.
