On “Classroom Revolution” in Newly-built Universities

Abstract: “Classroom revolution” is the profound innovation and transformation of classroom teaching,and it is an important means and way to improve the quality of classroom teaching and talent training in the new era.As a part of Chinas higher education,newly-built universities are actively exploring the transformation from extensional development to conjunctive development,from focusing on conditions and hardware construction to improving the quality of personnel training and the level of running schools after they have gone through the new development stage.Therefore,returning to classroom teaching and carrying out “classroom revolution”have become the primary task for newly-built universities at present.By analyzing the connotation of “classroom revolution” in newly-built universities as well as its background and motivation,this essay tries to point out the orientation of “classroom revolution” in newly-built universities from four dimensions:teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods and teaching evaluation,in an attempt to provide guidance for newly-built universities to better carry out the “classroom revolution”.
